There food was really good, me my husband and my daughter love there food, and owner was so nice he came to us and talked and explained which dishes we should choose and how we should eat with chili.and waiter was came couple of time to check on us.but I felt price was little bit high.otherwise everything was great.

Love coming here for the chaufa de pollo. One of my favorite Peruvian dishes. Juan is very professional and friendly! Will continue to come back.

First time here and all I can say amazing food and service !!! Definitely recommend to try this place . Lomo saltado and ceviche de pescado the best you will ever have! Can't wait to come back and try more of there plates!

The Peruvian food here is delicious! The lomo saltado was really good... the quality of the steak was on point and the sauce was damn good. the ceviche de pescado was absolutely delicious. Each dish was $20 which I feel is reasonable with the great quality of the food and the really high prices at some other Peruvian restaurants as of late. This restaurant has been around for a long time for a good reason! I love the old school vibe of the restaurant with the bar stools and counter-top dining. The area isn't the best but when I went on a Sunday evening it was really chill and easy to park across the street. This is a gem and restaurants like these are my favorite part about living in LA!

Food is amazing, service is top notch, and the ambiance is chill. This is my third time eating here and it's worth the 2 hour drive!

Amazing food!!! Both Peruvian and Mexican options. The Lomo was very good, only the second time I've ever had it (this one was the best!). The meat was perfectly done and juicy. Sauces that went with it were so delicious too. The tacos were unbelievable, the best I've ever had in my life. I got the al pastor and the flavor was unreal. My wife got carnitas tacos, I tried one and they were just as good! The people that work there are so friendly and kind. We got to speak to the owner for a while, really great person. They have a counter inside to sit at if you want, but I liked sitting outside on their patio and enjoying the people and lovely weather. I felt so lucky to have found Mex Peru! We could've ended up anywhere in Los Angeles and we found the best spot on our first try :) Next time we are in LA we will definitely be back.

Juan & team, Congrats on 40 years of awesomeness! Thank you for the good chat and for the best street tacos I've ever had in my LIFE. This is the best way to end a trip to LA. I love the counter seating and hustling bustling setting. The lomo saltado is their most popular dish, but don't sleep on the street tacos. The carnitas and al pastor are otherworldly! No wonder they're the #4 place to eat in LA. A must visit, for sure.
